News from the Network for Pastoral, Spiritual and Religious Care in Health

The Network met on 29th January and the following was agreed to be shared: 

  1. We were saddened by the news that Elizabeth Jenkerson has recently died following a time of illness.  Elizabeth was a longstanding member of the Network, representing the Baha’i community.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this sad time.
  2. We elected a new Chair to take over from our next meeting – Clare Elcombe Webber.  Clare has been a representative at the Network from April 2021 and is currently serving as Vice-chair.
  3. We plan to elect a new Vice-chair at our next meeting and to say goodbye to Mark Burleigh, Chair for the past 4 years.
  4. The Spring “Exploring Chaplaincy” course has commenced and is fully subscribed.
  5. We plan to discuss future workstreams with a view to securing funding for the Network’s work to continue sustainably.
